Foundation Support Renewal

What is the Foundation Support Renewal Policy?
Many of your have asked “My renewal for support is due. How do I pay you?” Well, thanks for asking! Now that there is a new web site and the shopping cart has been re-done, I’m ready to answer that burning question. When Foundation 5 shipped May 1st, 2009, many folks who had ‘lifetime’ support (myself included) were understandably upset that I was charging for upgrades. We all found out that ‘lifetime’ meant something less than we thought. Since getting Foundation to work with v11 (and now v12) required a considerable amount of work (along with updating the documentation), it only seemed fair to charge something to keep the product alive.
I have provided continuing support since May 1st, 2009, in part, to help ease the pain of charging fellow ‘lifetime’ support members for the upgrade. So, going forward, I will ask that existing Foundation 5 users to purchase an annual support membership from the Foundation App Store for $195/year. You might be asking “But Walt, what exactly does that get me?” It will get you any and all upgrades to Foundation 5 for as long as you remain a member. Naturally, you have a copy of the source code and are free to maintain it yourself. Your copy will continue to be licensed as is. No worries there. Your membership will continue your access to the Google Group for Foundation 5 owners (a VERY exclusive club).
As always your feedback is welcomed, and I look forward to hearing from you. Just use the contact us link at the bottom of the page.
